Welcome to Denbridge Surgery
Dr Pauline Stewart
1955-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr Pauline Stewart who has been a much loved part of Denbridge Surgery for the past 31 years. Dr Stewart joined Dr Ken Macgregor, together with Dr. Anna Kay as a job share in 1989 and brought with her a deep sense of compassion for the patients and a fun loving nature. She was always very efficient, but still managed to give every patient the time and care they needed. She managed to devote herself to her work as a GP whilst managing to bring up her 3 children.
Dr Stewart provided the surgery with stability and wisdom, and the team benefitted greatly from her excellent clinical skills and knowledge. She had a great perspective on General Practice that was invaluable. We saw this in day to day decision making and when facing difficult challenges for the whole surgery. Dr Stewart worked tirelessly to support the practice and patients through the Covid-19 pandemic until her retiral from frontline clinical care due to ill health in June 2020.
We all miss her laughter, her wisdom and her passion for the good things in life. May she rest in Peace.
