COVID19

Please do not call the surgery if you have a general query regarding the COVID-19 vaccine.  Instead please look on the NHS Inform Website or use the national helpline 0800 030 8013 which is open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

Vaccine roll out to the general public, based on age and underlying health conditions, will start as soon as possible, and will depend on vaccine supply.  This is likely to start in the New Year so please look out for a letter and a leaflet arriving in the post which will invite you to make an appointment for your vaccine.

The first group to receive this will be the over 80’s.  Please avoid calling with any queries about the vaccine or when you will be vaccinated as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage and we need to try to keep the phone lines open for people who are unwell and in need of medical care.

Many thanks for your ongoing patience and cooperation

If you have a new cough, fever, loss of taste/smell or are awaiting results of a COVID test, please DO NOT ATTEND the surgery. We are currently operating a telephone triage and if you need to be seen the GP will arrange this. Please wear a face covering if you attend the practice.

ALL PRESCRIPTIONS SHOULD BE COLLECTED FROM A NOMINATED CHEMIST, NOT THE SURGERY.

From 1st May 2019, the Practice will be closed for staff training on the 1st Wednesday of each month, between 11.45am - 1.15pm. If you need a doctor urgently during this time, please call 9429494 and select option 1.

Appointments

circled_dayAll consultations are by appointment and appointment times are between 09:10 and 17:00.

APPOINTMENTS are 10 minutes long. Help us run to time and save you waiting.

We cannot deal effectively and safely with one major problem or 2 minor problems in a 10 minute appointment. Please do be prepared for the doctor to advise that you make a second appointment to discuss the unrelated and less significant issues. its safer for you and helpful to those following. If you feel that your problem will take longer than 10 minutes to discuss, you may request a double appointment.

It is inevitable that sometimes we are unable to keep to time and understandably this is a a common source of irritation for our patients.

Sometimes delays can be unavoidable due to a patient being unexpectedly serously ill. Other times a problem presented is very complicated and time consuming and has to be sorted immediately.
